SavingStar Coupons Are NOT Intended To Stack!!

It has come to my attention, that in addition to the great deals we have at many stores right now, that some bloggers are encouraging people to stack SavingStar coupons with manufacturer coupons. Let me remind you that this is NOT the way SavingStar coupons are to be used. That being said this does NOT include the One or Many offers ie $5/$20 (Save $5 when you buy $20 worth of a particular item). SavingStar‘s “One or Many” deals are not considered manufacturers’ coupons. Therefore, combining a “One or Many” deal with other coupons is not against manufacturers’ terms.

Example Deal of how NOT to use a Savingstar coupon:

ABC Laundry Detergent: 3/$6

Use:( 3) $1/1 ABC Laundry Detergent coupons

Pay $3  OOP

Get: $1 SavingStar Deposit

Final Price: 0.67

NOOOOO! Final Price would be $1 each because you bought 3 and used 3 $1/1 coupons. You should NOT be stacking the SavingStar with manufacturer coupons.

Here is SavingStar’s stance on this issue:

“SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way. Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for shoppers to redeem more than one manufacturer’s coupon for the same purchase.

Brands do not intend to give 2 coupons for the same purchase. A consumer can choose to do, but it is technically against the terms of most manufacturers’ coupons.

In the future, we may implement mechanisms to limit the combination of SavingStar offers with other manufacturers’ coupons.
SavingStar‘s “One or Many” deals are not considered manufacturers’ coupons. Therefore, combining a “One or Many” deal with other coupons is not against manufacturers’ terms.
